The opening day of Bristol Beer Week includes an interesting book launch from locals Tim Webb, Jessica Boak and Ray Bailey. As well as the latest edition of the ‘Pocket Beer Book’ and Boak & Bailey’s recent release ‘20th Century Pub’, Tim will be launching the Bristol Craft Beer Map, which will be on sale during Bristol Beer Week at our exhibition and information hub at Christmas Steps gallery.

Tickets are free via the Waterstones website. Here’s a brief description of the three launches:

Bristol Craft Beer Map - The 39 Stops
Words by Tim Webb | Design by Ich Bin Ben

A bang-up-to-date map of the best places to find beer in Bristol, along with a future map of where all the tap houses will be, and a nice simple explanation of why Bristol is now the UK's First City of Beer.

Pocket Beer Book
Stephen Beaumont and Tim Webb

The only book on the planet that can guide beer drinkers to the very best beers in the 58 countries that now have a growing craft beer culture. A balanced pick of the best in traditional and new brewing. Plus an easy-to-follow but comprehensive introduction to the world's different beer styles.

20th Century Pub
Jessica Boak and Ray Bailey

From the self-proclaimed geeks behind the Boak & Bailey Beer Blog comes a typical mix of analysis and anecdote about a neglected piece of our national furniture that doubles as a globally revered institution and happens to be one of their pet passions. It's a slow burner that is guaranteed to get you fired up.
