We need your help

Bristol Beer Week was established in 2013 and was the first official event of its kind in the UK. We have grown steadily over the last four years despite extremely limited resources, and now hold a prominent position on the UK beer calendar. The fifth beer week takes place in October and we need your help.

We pride ourselves on being an independent beer event, run for the benefit of the Bristol community, so we have never considered accepting sponsorship from a large organisation in the beer industry. But we are now at a stage where we must raise finance to continue to grow and reach our full potential.

The modern beer industry has an extremely broad appeal, crossing the boundaries between food and drink, music, entertainment, sport and lifestyle. We are therefore approaching a range of independent local businesses that feel a connection to beer and could benefit from an association with our event and brand.

Why support us

Despite our event only filling a brief slice of the calendar, we work hard all year to build our brand and increase goodwill with the local Bristol community. We believe that an official association with Bristol Beer Week would be the perfect opportunity to benefit from our positive image.

Like most modern beer events, we focus our efforts on digital and social media. With access to nearly 4,000 followers, Twitter is an extremely important tool for us. Our website, which was completely redesigned in June 2016, receives steady traffic of around 500 visits a month, increasing to 10,000 over beer week period (the two months surrounding the event).

We feature across a broad range of food and drink, lifestyle and event websites and magazines and, for 2017, we have formed partnerships with Wriggle and Tikk to help us with marketing and event promotion. We also produce branded t-shirts, beer mats, posters, flyers and programmes, all of which provide an opportunity to promote our supporters’ brands, as well as ours.

What you get as a supporter

For £500, you would get the following:

  • Logo at the foot of our website (see example below)
  • Featured profile page linked from logo (see example)
  • Focussed tweets from our Twitter account
  • Mention on all press releases
  • Inclusion on printed marketing materials
  • Opportunity to work with featured bars and breweries

For 2017, we are running an exhibition and hub. We have secured a week-long lease at the Christmas Steps Gallery, which has great footfall and access to the city centre. There is a unique opportunity to be the sole sponsor of the hub where, as well as the ongoing exhibition curated by talented photographer Nicci Peet, we will be hosting an invite-only opening party and daily free micro-tasting evenings with our featured breweries. Terms for this can be discussed in more detail if you are interested.

For more information on being a supporter, or sponsoring our Bristol Beer Week exhibition hub, please send us an email. We’d be very happy to meet for a beer or coffee to talk about why we think partnering with Bristol Beer Week will be positive for your organisation.
