why we love Nettle and Rye

Nettle and Rye is the Volley’s younger, slightly posher, little sister. It has the same commitment to independent UK breweries, served alongside modern British food, but it is based up in Clifton village, an area of Bristol awash with lovely pubs that, with a couple of exceptions, sell not so lovely beer.

We love Nettle and Rye for its prime spot in the middle of the village; a perfect refreshment stop on the way back from Ashton Court. We also love their approach to local and foraged produce presented in their ‘casual fine dining’ restaurant; a great place to match awesome beer with top class food.

Bristol is the home of the craft beer movement in the South West and BRISTOL BEER WEEK is the one time of the year where we really get to see this. As a venue, Beer Week encourages us to push the boundaries, bring in new and exciting beers and provide events that people from far and wide can enjoy. It brings Bristol’s best craft beer establishments, breweries and beer enthusiasts together for a fun filled week of crafty goodness.
